The Thriller Miller

Thrilling as the title sounds, the person featured in this post of Project Rembrandt won 2 MVP awards in the Philippines' professional basketball league.  

When I saw him passed by us, my eyes lit and I told my friend Dan that we should ask him for a picture.  It was my second time to see him in person.  The first was when I was still a kid,  I was with my schoolmates back then and we were playing at our local barangay basketball tournament.   Never had I thought that I would get another chance to have a brief encounter with him.

I immediately took my camera and approached him.  I called him by his first name and asked him for a picture.   I never felt shy, as compared to other strangers I previously asked for pictures.  Maybe it was because he was a celebrity and we both grew up in the same province, or maybe because I felt that he was very polite and humble.

Dan and I also had small talks with him.  We told him that we were both fans and we even asked him for the team he was rooting for in the NBA Championships.  He said that he would go for the veterans and  that of course was my favorite San Antonio Spurs!

Its a good thing that I started this project. This will help me look back and remember the thrilling encounters that happened in my life.  Thank you Willie Miller for being part of Project Rembrandt!
